Amudhan donation-for the water pump:

Sunday i had given the cash to sathya shanthi seva,blore.yesterday they had brought the motor..will produce the pics,bill this week.

Balagurukulam:

Sathya has taken over the responsibility from thilaga..and he takes care of the home now.

Mentally challenged home,thiruninravur:

Sathya has finished the donation for the month[suren and his friend being the part]

Bala's donation:

Bala has made three donation for

Balagurukulam kids operation:

We will try to meet the doctor directly and talk to him..rather than asking the home ppl who tell the same answer .

Heart patient medicine sponsor,blore:

This is a Alstom group funded one..we are helping a elderly woman for her heart medicines

Martial art classes-balagurukulam:

Classes are goin well according to our plans on weekends..many thanks to thirupa..

Srikrishnasevasharama hospital,blore had conducted health camp in Thomson school and our friend Ganesh had sponsored for the medicine ..occasion being her sister have birth to wonderful baby..
*It was held early this year and served some 200 ppl.

This is full possible due to ours friends Anand and well supported by Balaji,aparna.
Anand had worked on this project for nearly a year and final result is truely a professional website!congrats!.

New project -Start of Martial arts classes

We have started Martial art classes in special home -Balagurukulam,chennai.This is due to the efforts for our friend Thirupathi,a black belt holder in Taekwondo.

Our vision:

Martial arts channels a mind and gives a person immense self control.Its a art of self defense and we hope what is taught helps the kids in their future.

New project -Teacher For Mentally Challenged Children

Faith Special School for Mentally Handicapped Children is a Government of Tamilnadu recognized school in Chennai, India. School teaches around 47 mentally challenged children.
But unfortunately,the place is quite remote and school is finding difficult to fund for the teacher's salary.

This is a project where we fund for the teachers salary.

This work is possible because of sathya's constant efforts .

-Basic needs for Sathya shanthi seva,Bangalore
-Soaps,medicines for Balagurukulam,chennai.
-Health refreshments for the Thomson public school,bangalore

Conducting Second Health camp-Thomson school

Srikrishnasevashrama hospital and TBW conducted health camp in Thomson school . TBW funded for the medicines.

Ganesh from the group had funded for the project.Medicines worth Rs.5000 was provided to our people free of cost.

About camp:

-General check up for more than 200 people
-Diabetics,HIV tests were also conducted
-Free medicines were provided.

Donation of Artifical Limb

Donation of artifical limb was done due to the efforts of Balaji,kavitha and their friends.We had coordinated with TamilNadu Handicapped federation to make this possible.

Sangeetha&rajesh donation of cooking vessels

Sangeetha&Rajesh donated Cooking vessels to Lovedale foundation and sponsored Lunch for Jeroham ,the occasion being Rajesh birthday. Their total donation was $200 and remaining funds will be utilized for the other projects.This was on 13 oct 2007.

New periodic work-Donation of artifical limb

We are glad to inform that we have started a new periodic work-Donation of aritifical limb to physically challenged individuals.Coordination will be done with Tamil nadu handicapped federation.The frequency at which donation will be made is 3-4 months.

New periodic work-Drawing and painting event

Our vision is to channel the potential of the underprivileged children.On that regard ,we have started a monthly drawing and painting events to be conducted in various special homes. We have started with sathya shanthi seva(SSS) on 18 sep 2007.
Two places have been selected as of now ,Thomson pubic school and SSS.

New home-Reach

Along with Chennai social service, we had visited home-REACH near red hills in chennai.We look to extending our services to REACH in the near future.

New project commence on independence day-Donation towards Thomson public school.

Towards better world will be helping Thomson public school by funding them for milk or a healthy drink to be provided for the kids between lunch and breakfast.

Independence day-Celebration-15-8-2007

We were invited by Thomson public school and sathya shanthi seva for their independence day celebration.In the thomson school "Towardsbetterworld" was honoured.In sathya shanthi seva home,group was cordially welcomed and greeted with dance and songs.

New home found and donation towards Sathya shanthi seva rehab trust&Creation of TBW group in bangalore

Sathya shanth seva rehahabilitation trust was identified by the group.Starting from July2007 we will be donating 10Litres of oil and 15 kgs of sugar every month.

Nearly 20 kids and 40% of them mentally challenged kids.

Donating Public addressing system to thomson school

Towards better world has donated Public addressing system to thomson school,bangalore on 8-6-2007.We are glad to hear the lil kids prayer is held with this system .One of the main purpose that was foreseen was the need for a public awareness programs on AIDS and elderly education.Through this donation Mr.thomson(runs this school) says it will be very much easier.

Joel survives !finds a new life

Little 10 baby was abandoned by his mother in a street.Jeruham ,the special home near adambakkam(chennai) saved the baby . Funded rs.5000 for his medical revival .He was in a pretty bad state when he was admitted.Our efforts could reach joel due to the work of kirba and karthi,cheers to them.

There is sense of optimism in the group as Life is saved!

Donation made towards srikrishnasevasharama hospital towards building a operation theatre-Receipt

The collected amount was donated to the hospital .It was given towards the creation of operation theatre where it initially required emergency trolley.
Mr.Sudhir of Alstom on behalf of "towardsbetterworld" handed over the donation to the trust of srikrishnasevashrama.

Funding rising for operating a premature baby-details

With all our hearts we are grateful to all the donors who are gonna make a little child's life better!

The kid is presently underweight weighing 3.5 kgs ,she has to put on weight to atleast six kgs for the operation to be possible.We will be updating all on the improvement shown by the kid.The kid is presently in Special home,balagurukulam(www.balagurukulam.org)

For this operation ,which wld nearly be costing around rs.60,000 these are donors who are gonna make it possible.
