Mr.chidamaranathan,president Tamilnadu handicapped federation is approached by veerabahu and collects details .Gets links towards Calladai Motors(which employs 75%physically challenged ).Identification of the cause,reason and cost estimation is done .Group is gathered,discussions made and conclusions arrived.Anand ordinates with badri and sends in the check from USA.

Karthick collects from the group members and handsover it to veerabahu.He makes payment towards calladai motors.Coordination with Mr.Karuppiah ,public relation officer is done to select the right person from 7000 members database.Two persons are selected and Mr.Kota srinivas is invited.Veerabahu and suresh were present on the occasion.

Mr.Najarajan is truely inspiritional person with quite a amount of physically disablity he has found ways to succeed in his life.Its such a pleasure for the group to help him in a small way.He sells bag and hand made materials in adyar.

Wheel chairs donated towards special people

Two Wheel chair were donated to two special individuals in the office of Tamil Nadu handicapped federation on 25-11-2006.

On the behalf of the group Mr.Kota srinivas,Scientist E,CSIO(CSIR campus) gave away the chairs .It is truely a honour for the group for made his presence felt,
Thank you sir .We believe these are true heroes who make up our country and our group will honour such heroes in the near future.

V. Badrinath (Boston, MA, USA) made the donation needed to buy one wheelchair and the another was brought from the groups collection.

Donation towards Amaithiillam

Crackers were donated to the kids for the orphanage called amaithillam on 20-10-2006 from the group funds. For the occasion of deepavali 2006.

Communication - Funds Contribution

Objective:
This is regarding the social service activities carried out by some of our friends in the group. Though our friends has been contributing funds to help in this regard, we do not have a formalized list of volunteers. Also we want to create a commitment from our friends which will drive & motivate us in getting stabilized funds on a periodic basis.

Proposal:
We are planning to collect the funds thru different mode on a monthly basis. You can either hand over the amount that you want to donate every month to Veera (or thru any other person who could reach him) OR do an online transfer. Currently, we do not have a fixed account for our group for these activities separately. But we are working on the background to get an individual account dedicated for this which will happen pretty sooner. In the interim, we would like to use Karthik's account for any online transfer that you want to do.

Information:
Friends who live in India can make their online payment to ICICI account & those who live in US could transfer the funds to Bank of America account. Also please mention "Siding Funds" as the transaction remarks when you do an online transfer & send a mail immediately to Karthik mentioning the same @ rkarthik80@yahoo.com. Please remember that you can set an automatic fund transfer as monthly payments with the specified amount. Hence one time action will help in transferring funds automatically on a monthly basis.

Balagurukulam-a wonderful home.

Balagurukulam-Sathya's finds a new home and donation made towards it.

Rs.1000 was donated towards a home called 'Balagurukulam'.It has five babies ranging in the age of two months to eight months.The founder says that he wants to grow a child from its birth.Most of them are brought up from within a week of birth.The hard part is some babies were found in the dustbin.

He says that he wants to built a strong nation.He wants the visitor's to come more regularly give these kids love and affection,more than money.The best thing that one can give to this kids is a very quality education.
I will personally insist people visit this place, such a homely environment where visitors are free to spend as much time with small babies, feed them as if they are yours

Sathya was the first one to find the home and visit.Gangai,suresh,sathya,violin karthick,veera visited the place on 30-7-2006 .

COLLECTING FUNDS FOR A OPEN HEART SURGERY Anand had collected Rs.9100 from NRI's and sathya had given Rs.1000 for a open heart surgery .

BARRY KARTHICK SPONSORING EDUCATION Barry karthick is sponsoring a small kid's education who is unable to pay the school fee.

SPONSORING FOR KIDS EDUCATION -P.SRINI NOBLE IDEA We had a sitution where we had to help a grandmother in payin her grandsons school first fee of Rs.1750.The kids name was Arun had lost both his parents in an accident.So we thought a help in need would be valueful diverted the funds and sponsor for the kid.We paid the first month fee which included the book fee also of Rs.1750

SPONSORING FOR WASHING MACHINE The small kids have to wash their clothes so we decided that we could buy washing machine ,anand had given Rs.2200 and his friend Rs.2000.Out of which Rs.800 was given to Suji for school near velachery as she was active member helping kids there.With Collection of Rs.1000 from siding stars.We had Rs.4250 nearly for this cause.P.Srini had given Rs.1000 for this cause too.

BUYING BOOKS Decided that instead of giving money we decided to use these funds to buy them materials that will be helpful to them directly.We brougth tamil,english,maths guides for kids studying in 6,7,8 standards for Rs.1160

"SIDING STARS" I discussed the issue with siding group and they were more than happy to help in the cause.From that point we have made very slow progress in our goals.We decided to collect Rs.100 from everybody and then donate that fund or buy something useful.Very active members are Karthick barry,Partner karthick,poriki srini,subhash,uday,gangai,kirba,koushik,prasanna,sathyamurthy,suresh,baskar,vijaysararthy.Glad that our group has extended a strong friendship for a social cause.

"Anand Swaminathan" The conversation with anand was one of the starting sparks on 2003.We spoke on doing something useful.Found the orphanage amaithiillam started to help them in donating small amount.I used to give chocolates whenever i could in the starting stages and a greater need was identified in time to come.From that time anand has been a pillar supportin many causes and devoted lotsa of his time in creating flashes which in turn has motivated many people to help.His contribution has been so big in our work.

The starting point-Gujarat earthquake relief fund

A disaster struck india in the form of gujarat earthquake in 2001 .I wanted to help them somehow,I felt helpless seeing the magnitude of destruction.I could do nothin except to watch our people suffer.I thought if i could unite my class for cause we could collect some funds and help our countrymen in a smallest way possible.So we collected Rs.800 for 99ec** and my father took DD.We posted to prime minister relief
fund.That triggered the passion and it gave such a great amount of satisfaction.I believed that i and my friends could do something to make this place a better one.My journey started..
